SOLDIER


Soldiers were individuals trained in a variety of martial skills and represented the core of any military force. Many of these individuals volunteered to fight for their government, but some were drafted into service. Those who fought for monetary payment were generally called mercenaries. Soldiers received basic training in a wide range of weaponry and combat tactics, from hand-to-hand combat to heavy weapons. Soldiers that received advanced training and equipment were called commandos.

Soldiers of the Galactic Republic that served during the Old Republic era consisted of Republic soldiers and Republic troopers. During the Clone Wars, the Republic's infantry force consisted mainly of Clone troopers. The basic soldiers of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Military were the Imperial Army troopers and the stormtroopers, who were almost exclusively Human. During the Rebellion era, the Rebel Alliance's standard foot soldiers were the Rebel troopers, while the specially trained soldiers were called SpecForce, or Alliance Special Forces.

Small teams of soldiers were sometimes organized into squads which consisted of four to six members and led by a higher ranking soldier. Two or more squads together formed a company. In the lead of large groups of soldiers were commanders who had great knowledge of tactics and strategy which enabled those under their command to fight with enhanced efficiency. The combined forces of soldiers who fought on foot were usually referred to as infantry.

WEAPON FOCUS - At level 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, Soldier gains Weapon Focus feats as a class free feature, even if he does not meet requirement. Soldier can select any weapon from his weapon proficiency list, and that weapon will continue to gain focus feats as the soldier level up.

Soldier Evolution - At level 10, 20, 30, Soldier is strong enough to evolve into a new stage. At those levels Soldier can select one of the 3 evolution perks. In which order Soldier is going to select them is up to the player, but can select only one at the time. You can have 1 evolution perk at level 10, 2 evolution perks at level 20, and 3 evolution perks at level 30.

Perk A: Soldier Focused Weapon gains +5% damage for every Weapon Focus Rank to maximum of +25% damage. This bonus percentage is calculated by the final damage inflicted with soldier's focused weapon. Perk A applies to this 1 weapon that is focused via class feature.

Perk B: Soldier gains +25% health. This bonus percentage is calculated by using the Soldier's maximum health points and this stacks with Fitness.

Perk C: Strong willed soldier is able to roll will save second time against mind effect Force Powers, if he fails the first time (rolls will save twice and highest result counts).
